One thing about Hip Hop is that it’s a live hard kinda of music. You got to walk it to talk it. This trade off has led to some unfortunate decisions and situations. Some of our best and brightest players have left us too early and we sorely miss their contributions and commitment to this culture we all know and love. Artists like DMX, Biz Markie, Heavy D, Big L and too many more. The Looking Down came about as a way to celebrate some of my favorite MC’s who are no longer with us. How would these artists sound over my music. This is not a remix project but rather an inspired one. This beat tape has been a labor of love for me and I am grateful to share it.
